Games To Play With Your Cat

Playing games with your cat is a great way to have some fun, provide strength and stimulation, and enrich their life. So we came up with our top five activities that you should do with your cat. We hope you and your cat have fun trying each of these activities.

Chase the prey

To play this game, you tie a toy to a rope and drag it across the ground, pausing randomly just like a real animal might. Playing chase the prey encourages your cat to stalk and pounce on the toy just as they would in the wild. It also helps increase your cat’s agility and speed and stimulates its hunting instincts.

Puzzle feeders

Puzzle feeders are toys that keep your cat’s food in separate compartments. By pouncing or rolling the toy, your cat can make the toy release a few pieces of their food at a time. Using a puzzle feeder helps to stimulate your cat’s desire to work for their food.

Fun with catnip

You can stuff a catnip into a ball or toy, stimulating their interest in playing with that toy. Of course, not all cats are attracted to catnip, but it can keep them running around playing with their toy if they are.

Go on a walk

Some people may think it isn’t normal to train their cat to walk on a leash; however, many cats enjoy going for a walk. Walks can help your cat get some exercise, and they can experience the outdoors while safe from cars and other animals.

It may come as a surprise to you that many cats love to fetch as much as dogs. Playing fetch is another way to simulate the quick, unexpected movements of their prey. Using a toy with a bell will help get your cat’s attention and roll or toss it.
